I enjoy the challenge and sense of accomplishment I feel when finding creative solutions to complex problems. Cybersecurity is a natural fit because it presents the opportunity to improve both my technical and interpersonal skills while making a meaningful impact every day.

Striving for self-improvement is an important part of my identity and what motivates me. I also believe that the unique experiences and perspectives of a diverse team are crucial for generating innovative ideas. In the end, sharing in the success of others by stepping up as a leader and fostering a culture of collaboration brings me great satisfaction.

KEY SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS |
In May 2023 I will graduate with a B.S. in Information Systems and Technology, Cybersecurity concentration.
I participated in the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC), Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) as Team Captain, and National Cyber League (NCL). I am also the student ambassador for Red Hat, Inc. at CSUSB and lead a project teaching enterprise Linux system administration.
I completed the CompTIA Security+ and Exterro ACE (Digital Forensics) certifications. I expect to complete Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Pentest+, CISSP, and Magnet certifications by this summer.
I am working as a teaching assistant and tech fellow to bring the CodePath Cybersecurity course to CSUSB (previously in Fall 2022, and again in Spring 2023).
I have performed System Administration tasks for the school’s VMware vSphere environment and developed/taught a curriculum covering Networking for GenCyber.
