Creating a rapport with the other apprentices was a rewarding experience. My manager has been a mentor since the day I started my job. She has instilled her knowledge of community service in me.

My verbal communication and motivational skills have improved after doing the apprenticeship program.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU HAVE FOR THOSE SEEKING TO START THEIR CAREERS IN THIS INDUSTRY?

  • I would tell them that to be successful in this industry, you need to have a servant’s heart and need to be able to meet people where they are. We need to be empathetic and accept that we make a difference one person at a time.
