  • Tony Coulson

    Executive Director of CSUSB Cybersecurity Center

    Tony Coulson, Ph.D., is the executive director of the Cybersecurity Center and full professor of Information and Decision Science in the Jack H. Brown College at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). During his tenure at CSUSB, Tony has led more than 20 grant-funded cybersecurity projects totaling over $18 million. Dr. Coulson also led the establishment of a nationally acclaimed cybersecurity program that spans business, computer science, national security studies, criminal justice, and public administration. The program is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.

    Dr. Coulson is a globally recognized cybersecurity expert and leads the CAE Community Cybersecurity Education (caecommunity.org) as an NSA National Resource Center for over 265 colleges and universities. He has consulted on cybersecurity issues for Congress, federal agencies, and private organizations. He belongs to several boards and has won numerous academic, national, and community awards. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Coulson had a successful industry career for over 17 years as an executive and an entrepreneur, starting his first successful technology business when he was 14 years old. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University.

  • Charles Rouse

    Program Manager of CSUSB Cybersecurity Center

    Charles Rouse is the Outreach & Community Development program manager for the Cybersecurity Center at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB). He leads the Inland Empire Cybersecurity Initiative (IECI), a National Security Agency (NSA)-sponsored economic growth project that fosters a pipeline of cybersecurity talent from middle school to full-time employment in the Inland Empire. The IECI program has formed collaborations with Riverside and San Bernardino county K-12, community colleges, and industry partners to identify, develop, and market regional talent toward meeting the cyber-related job placement needs of our local employers.

  • Fatuma Ramudzi

    Program Coordinator of CSUSB Cybersecurity Center

    Fatuma Ramudzi is the Outreach and Community Development program coordinator for the Cybersecurity Center at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). She assists the Inland Empire Cybersecurity Initiative (IECI), a National Security Agency (NSA)-sponsored economic growth project that fosters a pipeline of cybersecurity talent from middle school to full-time employment in the Inland Empire. The IECI program has formed collaborations with Riverside and San Bernardino county K-12, community colleges, and industry partners to identify, develop, and market regional talent toward meeting the cyber-related job placement needs of our local employers. Before coming to CSUSB, Fatuma worked for 5+ years in the nonprofit sector and higher education. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Diversity & Inequality and a minor in African American Studies from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). She is excited to be working at the CSUSB Cybersecurity Center, and is passionate about working with and for students. She hopes to continue the great work that is being done at the center and make a further impact with the unique strengths and skills she brings to the table.

      Individuals who previously completed specified apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship

    • Titles for mandatory courses for Cybersecurity Professional (Tier 2 – Baccalaureate) undergraduate program: IST-4120 Information Systems Planning and Policy, IST-4410 Advanced Database Management and Information Assurance, IST-4610 Cybersecurity Management, IST-4620 Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, IST-5250 Incident Handling and Cyber Investigation (Digital Forensics).
