    The courses required to complete the program are listed here. Many other courses of Related Instruction are also available and subject to apprenticeship waiver of fees.

    • AUT-100 Intro to Automotive Technology
    • AUT-101 Basic Technician Skills
    • AUT-102 Engine Analysis Tune-Up
    • WEL-102 Basic Gas Metal Welding
    • AUT-103 Suspension, Steering and Alignment
    • AUT- 110 Brake System
    • AUT-111 Automotive Electrical System
    • AUT-200 Engine Diagnosis/Overhaul

    Are there pre-conditions for entry into the Program or for apprentice job placement in this Industry Sector?

    • Must have a California drivers license
    • Must complete an introductory course at the school
    • Employers may require drug test and background check
    • Entry into Apprenticeship Program may require a long time
    • Entry into Apprenticeship Program includes conditions
    • Must be 18 or older
    • Students must receive a B or better in the automotive principles intro course and must maintain a minimum of 87% class attendance
