From Candidate to Professional

Maria grew up in Riverside, always passionate about helping others. After high school, she discovered LAUNCH’s Healthcare Apprenticeship program through Riverside City College.

The Journey

Over 18 months, Maria completed classroom instruction at RCC and hands-on clinical rotations at Riverside Community Hospital, working alongside experienced nurses.

“The apprenticeship changed my life. I supported my family while gaining real clinical experience. My mentors taught me skills I could never learn from a textbook alone.”

Where She Is Now

Today, Maria is a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse at Riverside Community Hospital, continuing her education toward becoming a Registered Nurse.
